The main characters are Ben and Rosie, a college professor husband and dermatologist wife; Leo and Emily, and son Pax, who are wealthy and separated; Jeffe and Kaye, a middle-aged playboy businessman and neurotic childless wife; Gus and Mona, a lecherous drug dealer, and OFW wife who supports the family, and beautiful, promiscuous, sexually abused daughter Karla who is the main thread who tragically connects the four families.
