Fete de la Musique, also known to some as World Music Day, is a day set aside for music, to give musicians, both amateurs and professionals alike, the opportunity to showcase their talents in venues that are accessible to the public. Fete de la Musique was started in France and credit goes to the French Ministry of Culture, then headed by Jack Lang. The year was 1982. The date, June 21.
The organizers anticipate a bigger, more diverse crowd as Fete de la Musique is staged at The Terraces at Ayala Center Cebu on June 21, 2009 at 5PM.
