The movie revolves around Shirley, an overweight middle-aged librarian who felt abandoned after her children moved abroad. She has decided to follow her estranged gay son- Mark- in New York where she also meets Noel- her son’s new lover. Would Shirley finally attain a happy ending in New York, with her son, or should she go back to the Philippines to seek her heart?
